DESCRIPTION
DuraSeal® Premium Polyurethane+ provides a tough, durable, clear protective finish with remarkable resistance to chipping, peeling, soaps, detergents, water, pets, fruit acids, ink, alcohol, etc. FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.
SURFACE PREPARATION
WOOD FLOORS: Complete removal of finish: Using a power floor sanding machine, remove old finish (if any) and sand floors bare and smooth. For final sanding, use only 100-grit paper. Never use paint removers to remove finish on floors; power sanding is the only recommended way to remove old finishes from floors. Before applying finish, floor must be free of dust, dirt, wax, grease, oil, etc.
FOR APPLICATION OVER STAIN: Not recommended over white or pastel stains. Allow stain to dry 24 hours before recoating with finish. A light sanding of the stain with very fine sandpaper before application of the finish is recommended. For maximum body, to seal out natural rosins, and/or for the lightest possible natural wood color, apply 1 coat of DuraSeal® Quick Dry Sealer to bare unstained wood, according to directions.
OTHER WOOD SURFACES: Whether old work (previously finished) or new work (bare wood) surface must be clean, smooth, wax-free, dust-free and dry.
APPLICATION
Stir thoroughly before and during use. Do not agitate or machine shake. Apply 2 coats evenly with a clean brush or lambswool applicator. Allow to dry. Sand first coat lightly with 100-grit paper; wipe with tack rag to remove all dust before applying second coat. If a third coat is required, wait at least 4 days before applying. Use the same procedure as above if a third coat is applied.
COVERAGE
Approximately 46.5 m2 (500 sq. ft.) per gallon.
