DURASEAL X-TERRA 2-Component Water Based FinishPRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Dura Seal X-TERRA is a two-component, urethane/acrylic resin blend formulated specifically for the demands of commercial and high traffic residential hardwood floors. Its unique technology provides a long- wearing, commercial grade finish that is the ultimate in durability.

PRODUCT USE:
SURFACE PREPARATON: New Floors
Natural Floors:
Sand and prepare floor according to NOFMA or NWFA recommended methods. Finish sanding with a 120 or 150 grit screen. Do not use steel wool. Vacuum thoroughly and tack floor with a slightly water-dampened cloth to remove all dust. Apply 1 coat of Dura Seal Super Base Sealer and 2 coats of Dura Seal X-TERRA. For high traffic commercial applications, a third coat is recommended.

PRODUCT USE:
SURFACE PREPARATON: New Floors
Stained Floors:
Sand and prepare floor according to NOFMA or NWFA recommended methods. Finish sanding with a 100 grit screen. Do not use steel wool. Apply Dura Seal Penetrating Stain according to label directions. Apply 2 coats of Dura Seal X-TERRA over thoroughly dried stain. For high traffic commercial applications, a third coat is recommended.

SURFACE PREPARATON: Previously Finished Floors
NOTE: Do not apply over wax, shellac, lacquer or stains containing wax or stearates.
Abrade and Recoat:
Be certain floor is free from all wax or oily residue. Clean floor thoroughly to remove all contamination. Abrade floor with a 120 grit screen. Do not use steel wool. Vacuum thoroughly and tack floor with a slightly water-dampened cloth to remove all dust. Apply 2 coats of Dura Seal X-TERRA. For high traffic commercial applications, a third coat is recommended. X-TERRA will adhere to most stains and finishes after proper preparation. ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Shake Dura Seal X-TERRA (Part A) well for 30 seconds prior to adding X-TERRA Hardener (Part B). One 15 oz. bottle of Hardener will active 1 gallon of finish. To activate amounts of finish less than 1 gallon, use the calibration marks on the side of the Hardener bottle (Part B) to determine the correct ratio for activation. Shake mixture for 30-45 seconds and then let sit for 5-10 minutes prior to applying. Remove stainless steel screen from the plastic bag and firmly insert the open end of the screen into the large end (bottom) of the spout. The screen should protrude from the bottom of the spout. Insert this entire assembly (screen first) into the one gallon bottle.

DIRECTIONS FOR APPLICATION:
Be certain all material is at room temperature. Use a synthetic bar applicator to provide the smoothest finish. Best results are achieved when ambient temperatures are between 50 and 90 F, and humidity below 80%.
1) Pour a 5"-6" wide line of finish along the starting wall, going with the grain of the wood.
2) Using a clean, dampened applicator, draw the finish toward the opposite wall going with the grain of the wood. Holding the applicator at a "snowplow" angle will maintain a wet edge at all times.
3) As you approach the end of the run, turn the applicator toward you and pad out excess material parallel to the wet edge.
4) Feather out all turns.
5) APPLY X-TERRA AT 350-400 SQ.FT. PER GALLON TO ACHIEVE PROPER FILM BUILD AND PREVENT LAPPING AND APPLICATOR MARKS.
6) Allow first coat to dry 2-3 hours. EXTENDED DRY TIME IS REQUIRED WITH HIGH HUMIDITY AND LOW TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS.
7) Abrade floor lightly with a used 180 grit screen or maroon pad. Vacuum thoroughly and tack floor with a slightly water-dampened cloth to remove all dust. Abrading is not required for additional coats if the finish is applied within 24 hours of the previous coat.
