1000WBFinishPRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
DURA SEAL1000 is a one-component, 100% Urethane wood floor finish formulated for all traffic areas. It provides the performance and durability of two-component finishes while eliminating the need for a separate cross-linker. It is available in Gloss, Semi-Gloss and Satin.

NEW FLOORS:
Natural Floors:
Sand according to NOFMA or NWFA recommendations. Finish sanding with 120 or 150 grit screen. Do not use steel wool. Vacuum very thoroughly, then tack with a very lightly water dampened cloth to remove all dust.

Stained Floors:
Sand according to NOFMA or NWFA recommendations. Finish sanding with 100 grit screen (80 grit if white stain is used). Do not use steel wool. Apply stain following manufacturer's application and dry time instructions, spot test for compatibility. Make sure stain is thoroughly cured.
NOTE: If high solids stain is used, before topcoating, buff cured stain with a green synthetic pad, then tack with a water dampened cloth for best leveling and adhesion.

PREVIOUSLY FINISHED FLOORS:
NOTE: This product is not recommended for floors that have been previously finished with wax, shellac, lacquer, or stains containing wax or stearates.

SAND AND REFINISH:
Sand floors according to NOFMA or NWFA recommendations to completely remove old finish. Proceed as above under NEW FLOORS.

SCREEN AND RECOAT:
Clean floor to remove all oil, grease, and dirt, then screen lightly with a 120 grit screen. Vacuum very thoroughly; then tack with a water dampened cloth to remove all dust. Spot test for compatibility of finish before proceeding.

FINISH APPLICATION:
Make sure material is at room temperature. Invert container several times before and occasionally during use. A synthetic bar applicator is recommended for even application of product, although a synthetic brush or lambswool applicator may also be used. Do not use the same applicator that was used for the sealer. Best results are obtained at ambient temperatures between 50°F and 90°F and at humidities below 80%. If applying to white oak, two coats of DuraSeal Super Base Sealer is recommended.

1) Apply sealer per label directions.
2) Pour a 4-6" wide line of Dura SeaI 1000 Finish along the starting wall. Go with the direction of the floor or grain.
3) Pull the finish with a clean, moistened applicator toward the other wall with an angled, squeegee motion. As you approach the wall, turn the applicator and pad out excess material parallel to the wet edge. Feather all turns, stopping and starting points.
4) Allow finish to dry 2-3 hours before applying next coat.
5) Before applying second coat, buff with a medium grit pad to achieve smoother final finish. Note: Buffing is not required for intercoat adhesion unless the previous coat has cured 24 hrs or more
6) Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
7) If floor was not stained apply a third coat. Before applying, clean entire floor with a dust mop moistened with Dura SeaI Hardwood Floor Cleaner.

SCREEN AND RECOAT:
1) Apply initial coat and allow to dry 2-3 hours (See application procedure #2 above).
2) If desired, buff with a medium grit pad for a smoother final finish. Vacuum and tack thoroughly.
3) Apply the final coat in the same manner as the first.
