Q/: How do I correctly apply Penetrating Gym Treatment?
A/: Penetrating Gym Treatment is applied, to the floor with a lambs-wool applicator or a brush. Allow setting up for 8-10 minutes and remove the surplus by buffing with a #2 steel wool pad or white synthetic pad under a slow, buffing machine (175 - 450rpm's). [top]

Q/: How is Penetrating Gym Treatment different from other floor finish's?
A/: Penetrating Gym Treatment is a below surface protection designed for multi purpose floors such as, restaurants, bars, community centers etc. This product is designed to be a two coat buffed in system with a required finishing coat. When maintained according to Dura Seal's recommendations, floors protected with Penetrating Gym Treatment should never require screening or sanding again. [top]

Q/: What is the difference between Minwax and Dura Seal?
A/: Dura Seal is specifically designed for hardwood floors and for the most part, is primarily sold to professional floor sanders and finishers. [top]

Q/: Does Dura Seal recommend specific products best suited for use on gymnasiums, stages, dance floor's, museums?
A/: Yes this is a two-part question, on gymnasiums that are true sports floors we recommend Gymthane. For multi purpose floors such as stages, dance floor's, museums, Penetrating Gym Treatment is the product recommended. [top]

Q/: Does Dura Seal, manufacture water based products?
A/: Yes, we manufacture Dura Seal Super Base Sealer, Dura Seal 2000ZC-2 and Dura Seal 1000. [top]

Q/: What is the best type of finish to use on wood floors, polyurethane or water based finishes?
A/: The Dura Seal Finishes Dura Seal 2000ZC-2, Dura Seal1000, and Dura Seal Polyurethane are each commercial grade superior quality floor coatings. The differences are in the application dry time, odor and color. The Dura Seal Polyurethane and Dura Seal 1000 water based finishes although different in chemistry are both Oil Modified Polyurethane and are ambering finishes. While Dura Seal 200ZC-2 is a non-ambering water based finish. [top]

Q/: Can Dura Seal finishes be used over Minwax stains?
A/: When applied according to label directions, yes they are compatible. However, Dura Seal also manufactures a line of high solids, penetrating stains (Penetrating Finish) which offers deep colors and excellent sealing qualities
